*SMITH & WESSON 1ST MODEL 44 HAND EJECTOR TRIPLELOCK DA TARGET REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Spcl. SN 6452. Fine early target revolver, blue finish, 6-1/2” bbl, pedestal front sight, adjustable rear sight, standard trigger & hammer, with modern replacement checkered medallion magna grips. Accompanied by a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver and indicating that it was shipped August 26, 1913 to Whiton Hardware Co., address not indicated. CONDITION: Very good with a fine restored finish that appears to be factory. However, factory refinish marks are not on the butt or side of the grip frame. Cylinder was refinished over very fine light pitting. Extremely fine mechanics; bright shiny bore. 4-51677 JR655 (500-1,000)
