CORRECTION: Please note the correct serial number for this firearm is 37.417. *WINKLER “FOREVER YOURS” MODEL OVER-UNDER EJECTOR GAME GUN. SN 37417. Cal. 16 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 28″ Bbls have “Forever – Yours” inlaid in gold, and “Made in Austria” engraved on narrow matted ventilated top rib. Bottom bbl is stamped with 1952 Ferlach proofs, is engraved “Bohler Stahl”, and stamped “Benedikt Winkler – Ferlach -“. Coin finished trigger plate scallop backed action features non-automatic safety (“S” inlaid in gold), double Kersten bolt, bushed strikers, and dbl triggers. Action is engraved in nicely cut shaded scroll with geometric borders, as background to vignettes of game. There is a fox flushing a pair of ducks from edge of marsh on left side; a bevy of what appear to be quail on right; bottom of action has calling auerhann in circle. Blued trigger guard is engraved “Flaig” with depiction of Flaig’s lodge on bow. Very nicely marbled European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/8″ over ribbed composition buttplate, and features shadow line right hand cheekpiece, composition grip cap, 22 LPI point pattern checkering with deeply mullered borders at points, and vacant silver oval on toe line. Matching 3-pc forend has Deeley release. Bore diameter: top -.664, bottom -.663. Bore restrictions: top -.024, bottom -.021. Wall thickness: top -.033, bottom -.034. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-9/16″. Weight: 6 lbs. 9.6 oz, LOP 14-1/8″. Also included with gun are a soft leather two compartment carrying case, and 5 boxes of mixed Super X and Western 16 ga. shot shells. PROVENANCE: Booklet “Ferlach Guns” showing this model. Ammo and takedown case. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all their orig blue, silvered at muzzles and sharp edges. Action retains virtually all its coin finish. Stocks retain nearly all of their French polish with a few minor marks. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Bores are excellent. 4-40180 MGM50 (4,000-6,000)
