MOSER DECORATED EWER. Lovely Moser ewer is blown in cranberry glass with an applied gilt handle. The backside of the mouth of the ewer is split and folded forward and each fold is decorated with a brightly enameled bumblebee. Body of the ewer has allover decoration of gold grape leaves with a three dimensional applied blue bird in flight on the shoulder of the ewer directly under the spout. Each side of the shoulder is further decorated with a brightly enameled flying insect. Marked on the underside “8460.”. SIZE: 15″ t. PROVENANCE: From a private Midwest Collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some minor wear to gilding on handle and stem. 5-64255 (2,500-3,500)
