*THE FIRST WINCHESTER MODEL 95 REPRODUCTION HIGH GRADE LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN NFH0001. Very beautiful deluxe high grade 95 with 24” tapered rnd bbl, brass bead front sight & semi-buckhorn rear sight. Mounted with very nicely figured, checkered American walnut with straight stock & smooth flat buttplate. Forearm has a schnable tip. Receiver is coin finished with etch engraved sides and gold wash inlays of a bull & two cow elk on left side and four Big Horn sheep on right side with gold lines around various panels. Top tang has a thumb safety. Accompanied by its orig Styrofoam lined, black 2-pc, cardboard box. This rifle was given to consignor in July 1997 by the President/CEO of USRAC/Winchester and was stored in the factory safe at Morgan, Utah. It has a red & white rnd plastic tag generally associated with Winchester collections marked “SERIAL #1” and is another of the serials #1 being offered in this auction that was presented to the consignor. CONDITION: Extremely fine, appears to be new & unfired. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood with three or four small nicks in the varnish at the toe.
