PAIR OF REGENCY SILVERPLATED AND CUT-GLASS TWO-LIGHT GIRANDOLES, TOGETHER WITH PAIR OF FIVE-LIGHT GIRANDOLES. First quarter 19th century. First pair now electrified, each with scrolled arms terminating in cut-glass bobeches suspended with teardrop prisms, the standard with faceted cut-glass mount surmounted by a cut-glass spire, the scrolling arms with teardrop prisms, the whole on a turned silverplated base. The five-light pair, early 20th century, with alterations and reduction in size. SIZE: FIRST PAIR: each 17″ h. x 10″ w. SECOND PAIR: each 12-1/2″ h. x 13″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a fine southern Maine collection. CONDITION: First pair overall in very nice condition, showing wear to silverplate. Each base professionally drilled for electrical wire. Now with custom lampshades. With full complement of prisms. Of second pair, one bobeche broken. 9-93127 (800-1,200)
