MOSER DECORATED SALAMANDER PITCHER. Exceptional Moser pitcher is blown in amber glass and features an applied three dimensional salamander handle with gilded body having red and blue enameled spots. The neck of the pitcher is decorated with an applied drip design gilded glass layer with seven brightly enameled insects encircling the neck. Body of the pitcher just below the spout features and applied three dimensional bird in flight with a background of brightly enameled oak leaves encircling the body of the pitcher. Oak leave decoration is further enhanced by numerous applied acorns. Unsigned. SIZE: 9″ t. PROVENANCE: From a private Midwest Collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some minor wear to gilding on neck and lip. 5-64263 (4,000-6,000)
