*VERY FINE HEYM OVER-UNDER SIDELOCK EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER HEAVY GAME GUN. SN 6133. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 30″ Demi-bloc barrels with flat raised ventilated rib are engraved “Fr. Wilh. Heym, Suhl” on left side of top bbl, which is fitted with double Kersten extensions. Left sides of bbls under forend piece are stamped with German nitro proofs with proof date of “9/31” and “Bohler (star logo) Stahl”. Bottom of bottom bbl is stamped with SN and initials “AH” (barrel maker?). Case hardened, bolstered, hand detachable (Holland style button on left lockplate) sidelock action has been fitted with Miller single selective trigger with safety button modified to be selector, “S” is inlaid in gold, and “O” is stamped. Action is engraved with about 80% coverage of very nicely cut and laid out shaded open scroll. “Fr. Wilh. Heym, Suhl.” is on either side of action under bolsters. Lockplates have more matching scroll outlining nicely detailed semi-relief vignettes of game birds in upper quadrants. A cock and hen pheasant are on left, and trio of quail is on right. Blued trigger guard, grip cap, and top lever have matching engraving. Dark and dense, nicely marbled, and somewhat figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 13-3/4″ over brown “Kickeez” pad mounted on 1/4″ ebonite extension. Stock features drop points and 32 LPI nicely cut scalloped pattern checkering with line borders. Long, 3-pc matching ejector forend has Deeley release. Bore diameter: top -.728, bottom -.728. Bore restrictions: top -.024, bottom -.014. Wall thickness: top -.032, bottom -.028. Drop at heel: 2-5/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz, LOP 13-3/4″. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all of what appears to be their original blue, with an area on right mid rib where some rust has been cleaned up and re-colored. Action retains 50-60% original case color, silvered on bolsters, and on bottom of action. Lockplates retain nearly all of their original color, silvering slightly at rear. Trigger guard and top lever retain most of their original blue. Guard is silvered at grip, and top lever thumbpiece. Grip cap blue has flaked and silvered, and is mostly brown. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish, showing some slight wear. Butt area has been slightly taken down and re-finished after installation of pad. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Trigger works. Top lever spring is broken. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny. 4-40924 MGM129 (6,000-9,000)
