*PHILADELPHIA MADE A.H. FOX STERLINGWORTH GRADE SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 255670. Cal. 20 ga. 26″ bbls tapered, matted concave rib with single brass sighting bead. 2-1/2″ chambers, IMP-CYL/FULL, double triggers and extractors. Chamber area of right bbl marked “Sterlingworth Fluid Compressed Steel”, left bbl marked “Made by A.H. Fox Co Phila Pa U.S.A.” Standard receiver with minimal zig-zag border engraving and “Sterlingworth” on each side. Mounted with straight grain walnut, checkered pistol grip, serrated hard rubber buttplate, and checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left – .619, right – .618. Bore restrictions: left – .025, right – .006. Wall thickness: left – .017, right – .016. Drop at heel: 2-3/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 5 lbs. 9 oz. LOP 14″. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain 90% original blue with minor muzzle wear, some thinning at chamber area, a few tiny shallow oxidation marks, a slight dent at muzzle of left bbl and a minor dent 6″ from muzzle on right bbl. Receiver has 50-60% original case colors, thinning and silvered across bottom. Stock is sound with a couple minor nicks and dings and usual handling marks, sharp checkering and an aging wiped on coat of added finish. Forend is sound with slightly flat checkering, some original finish with a hand worn patina. Gun is tight with lever off to the right. Mechanics are crisp with automatic safety. Shiny bores, two minor pits in right bbl and above mentioned minor dent. 4-35808 BDT166 (1,750-2,250)
