JAPANESE BOWL AND COVER, BELIEVED TO BE MID TO LATE 18TH CENTURY. Bowl showing immortals and their servant in a bamboo forest, wearing polychrome and gilt decorated robes. Colors include greens, blue, and red, all on an underglaze blue. Upper lip in red and gold has formal lozenge design separated by six sections depicting insects and flowers. Appears to have markings on bottom of Kan-Zan Yaki-Yamashiro Period. SIZE: 4-3/4”h x 9-1/4” dia. CONDITION: Very good condition overall. 9-90009 SM (200-400)
