*DESIRABLE BERETTA ASEL OVER-UNDER SHOTGUN. SN 20601. Cal. 20 ga. 26″ bbls, matted tapered vent rib with sgl silver sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, IMP CYL/MOD choke, dbl triggers and ejectors. Left side bbls marked “CHR.MOLYBDENUM COMPRESSED STEEL/SUPERIOR TYPE” and left side over chamber “P.BERETTA – GORDONE VT/MADE IN ITALY”. Bottom of bbl date coded XIV for 1958. Scalloped receiver is engraved with bold foliate arabesque scrolls. Mounted with nicely streaked walnut, checkered pistol grip with sculpted hard rubber grip cap, checkered butt and checkered fluted slender field style forend. Bore diameter: top – .622, bottom – .625. Bore restrictions: top – .022, bottom – .014. Wall thickness: top – .030, bottom – .024. Drop at heel: 2-5/16″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 5 lbs. 14 oz. LOP 15-1/4″. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 98-99% orig blue with some faint muzzle wear and a few minor handling marks. Center rib 1-1/2″ from forend has neatly, nearly undetectable, filled holes. Receiver is crisp, clean and bright. Stock is sound with two tiny hairline cracks on right side adjacent receiver and one on lower left side, a few minor handling marks and retains a fine orig finish.
