CONTINENTAL SILVER ROUND TRAY. Decorated with heavy repousse scrolling grapevine edges. The bright work chased center depicting a battle between horse soldiers using swords and spears within a garland of scrolling vinery with oval cartouches at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock with the cartouche at 6 o’clock being a monogram “G”. Overall weight 86 troy oz. SIZE: 18″ dia. CONDITION: Front is overall very good. The reverse markings and finish have been abraided from this heavy tray and is in desperate need of restoration. Although not tested, we are identifying it as probably 800 silver. 9-94512 (800-1,200)
