*OUTSTANDING A. H. FOX A GRADE SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 203928. Cal. 20 ga. 26″ Special Alloy steel bbls with tapered, matted, concave rib with sgl brass sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, choked IMP-CYL / MOD with dbl triggers & extractors. Right bbl is marked “SPECIAL ALLOY – FORGED STEEL” and left “SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION, UTICA, N.Y. U.S.A.”. Late style A grade receiver with bold flower-and-vine design with shaded background & ribbon with “Ansley H. Fox” on each side. Mounted with semi-fancy walnut with checkered pistol grip, hard rubber grip cap & leather-faced pad. Checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.619, right -.619. Bore restrictions: left -.016, right -.008. Wall thickness: left -.028, right -.028. Drop at heel: 2-5/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 5 oz. LOP 14-7/8″. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 95% orig blue with slight muzzle wear & a couple of light scratches. Receiver has 95% orig case colors with just a very light amount of fading across the bottom. Trigger guard retains nearly all orig blue. Stock is sound with a very fine hairline behind top tang & a few light hunting & storage marks, with orig finish & good checkering.
