Cal. 16 ga. 30″ Chromox Fluid Steel bbls with tapered, matted, concave rib with sgl silver sighting bead, 2-1/2″ chambers, IMP-MOD / FULL chokes, dbl triggers & extractors. Right bbl marked “CHROMOX FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL” and left “Made By A. H. Fox Gun Co. Phila. PA. U.S.A.”. Late style A grade receiver with bold flower-and-vine design with shaded background. Mounted with straight grain walnut, checkered rounded pistol grip & serrated hard rubber butt plate. Checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.660, right -.662. Bore restrictions: left -.028, right -.017. Wall thickness: left -.029, right -.024. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 6 lbs. 4 oz. LOP 14-1/8″. Accompanied by a John T. Callahan letter identifying gun as A grade 16 ga. 30″ bbls, choked FULL / FULL, walnut stock, with 14-1/8″ pull, 2-1/4″ drop at heel, half-pistol grip, weighing 6 lbs. 4 oz. Shipped Nov. 6, 1929, to National Sporting Goods (no address given). CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain nearly all orig blue with a few minor light scratches & some minor faint oxidation marks near muzzle of left bbl. Receiver retains nearly all orig case coloring. Stock is solid with a few minor nicks & dings & shows some ageing cracks in orig varnish. Forend is solid with smooth orig finish.
