*RARE SMALL FRAME PERAZZI S C O / O GAME GUN. SN 10047. Cal. 20 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 27-1/2″ Mono-block barrels with flat matted ventilated rib are engraved “Manifattura Armi Perazzi (Brescia)” and “Made in Italy” on left top of mono-block. Bottom of mono-block is stamped with 1979 Italian nitro proofs, SN, and “MAP”. Left sides of bbls have choke and chamber data. Bottom of bottom bbl is stamped “Acciaio Special”. Coin finished, nicely scaled action (only 50 of these small frame actions were made during the 1980’s, and only 6 were sideplated guns) features non-automatic safety (“Sicura” inlaid in gold), sideplates, and single non-selective trigger. Borders of action, trigger guard, and top lever, are engraved with small scroll as background for larger swags of scrolled acanthus with some floral highlights. Bottom of the action is mostly taken up by well cut and nicely detailed portrait of pointer retrieving woodcock with birch trees in background. “S C O / O” is inlaid in gold and an area of action is cut for forend iron. Sides of action and sideplates have fine borderless gold inlaid scenes of gray or Hungarian partridge erupting from cover, with finely detailed Bulino renditions of sky and terrain. Striking, broadly marbled, and slightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-5/16″ over brown thin sporting clays pad, and features 32 LPI checkering with deep cut border. One piece matching forend has flared Schnabel tip, and Deeley type release. Bore diameter: top -.625, bottom -.625. Bore restrictions: top -.031, bottom -.019. Wall thickness: top -.035, bottom -.033. Drop at heel: 1-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 9 oz, LOP 14-5/16″. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all their original blue, with some silvering from contact where forend bears. Action retains virtually all its coin finish, with no areas of discoloration evident. Stocks retain nearly all of their fine finish with a few minor marks from handling and use. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Trigger works. Front bead is missing.
