Geske, dated February 17, 2005 stating it has been entered in the Nebraska Blakelock Inventory as NVI-1937 and has been assigned a category II of the inventories classification system and thus can be considered the work of the artist. Geske goes on to say the work shows the spatial composition and the sensitivity in the handling that is characteristic of the artist and is a very personal and idiosyncratic example of his brushwork, spontaneous and suggestive and the signature appears correct.
