*SMITH & WESSON MODEL 38-44 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spcl. SN 54201. Blue finish, 5” bbl, integral half moon front sight with square notch groove rear sight. It has early checkered hammer spur and narrow trigger with diamond checkered silver medallion magna grips. Accompanied by an original type blue box with gold lettering and a picture of the revolver on the top. Also accompanies is a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver and indicating it was shipped March 28, 1938 to Dunham, Carrigan & Hayden, San Francisco, California. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new. Appears to be unfired, retaining virtually all its bright original factory finish, with only a faint cylinder line. Grips are crisp with no hand oil staining in the checkering. Box is fine and sound with heavy edge wear and scuffing and scratches to the lid. 4-51809 JR519 (1,250-1,750)
