JAPANESE SAMURAI MOUNTED WAKIZASHI. 17” shinogi zukuri blade. Gunome midare yakiba, itame hada. Ubu nakago and inscribed “BIZEN (NO) KUNI TADAMITSU”. SIZE: 25 ¾” long overall. MOUNTS: Iron tsuba in Kaneiye style of shrine in the mountains. Fuchi kashira mismatched, kinko fuchi and iron kashira, very nice large ko-Mino floral menuki, niju habaki. Black lacquered saya with very large plain iron kojiri. CONDITION: Blade very clean but with some rubs and has a fukura (blister). Leather tsuka ito damaged at the lower section. Saya with minor damage. Kozuka is missing from its pocket. 4-54992-2 GA18 (350-450)
