*ABBIATICO AND SALVINELLI OVER-UNDER EXCALIBUR PRESTIGE SPORTING CLAYS GUN WITH CASE. SN F0562. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers, long forcing cones. 31″ Mono-block barrels with high flat matted ventilated top rib and ventilated mid-ribs, are engraved “Abbiatico & Salvinelli” on left side of top bbl. Bbl flats have Italian nitro proofs for 2006, and are also stamped with “A & S” and SN. Bbls are fitted with Briley chokes, and there are 10 tubes included with gun. Coin finished rounded action with nicely filed and sculpted bolsters, features non-automatic safety (“Safe” inlaid in gold), single selective trigger, and removable trigger group. Action is engraved with traditional rose and scroll, and engraver’s signature “D. Bonsi” is on right side of bottom of action beside trigger plate. Sweeping bolsters are inlaid in gold “Abbiatico & Salvinelli”. Bottom of action is gold inlaid with “Excalibur Sporting”. Inset metal tang runs from rear of trigger recess to engraved steel grip cap. Tang has SN inlaid in gold. Striking, flesh-toned darkly marbled and lightly stump figured European walnut full pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/4″ over black “Kick-eez” pad. Stock features large palm swell, 24 LPI borderless checkering, and vacant gold oval on toe line. Matching one piece forend has A & S Anson-type release, actuated by finger lever in a Deeley style central escutcheon. Bore diameter: top -.724 with Briley chokes, bottom -.724. Wall thickness: top -.040, bottom -.037. Drop at heel: 2-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 8 lbs. 3 oz, LOP 14-3/4″. Dark blue ABS case has brown leather trim, and is embossed with “Famars”. Interior is lined in dark green velveteen, and contains choke tubes, plastic box containing spare strikers and main springs, and Famars marked bags for bbls and action. CONDITION: Excellent, near new, showing very little evidence of having been fired. There are some marks on mono-block from assembly and dis-assembly. Bolster on left side of action shows some slight discoloration. There are a few very light marks on toe line of stock. Case is excellent. 4-40229 MGM62 (16,500-22,500)
