Cal. 16 ga, 20 ga, 28 ga. 16 ga bbls – 28″ with tapered matted concave rib, dual white sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chambers, CYL/MOD chokes, top of right bbl is marked “Chromox Fluid Compressed Steel”, right is marked “Made by A.H. Fox Gun Co. Phila. Pa. U.S.A.”, 1″ wedge of scroll engraving with gold wire chamber BAND and “16” in gold on top of bbl. Bore diameter: left – .660, right – .660. Bore restrictions: left – .010, right – (005). Wall thickness: left – .032, right – .031. Drop at heel: 2-3/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Weight: 6 lbs. 5 oz. LOP 13-7/8″. 20 ga bbls – 26-1/8″ with tapered matted concave rib, dual white sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, CYL/CYL chokes, engraving matching 16 ga bbls with “20” in gold on rib. Bore diameter: left – .625, right – .624. Bore restrictions: left – 000, right – 000. Wall thickness: left – NA, right – NA. Weight: 6 lbs. 7 oz. 28 ga bbls – 28″ tapered matted concave rib, and dual white sighting beads. These are 20 ga tubes that were chambered for 28 ga shells without forcing cones. .620 bore diameters with .005 restriction. Bbl is marked identical to others with gold “28” on rib. The custom engraved receiver is bold floral scrolls with shaded background, gold ruff grouse on left side, gold woodcock on right, and gold pheasant on bottom. Mounted with highly figured walnut, checkered side panels with dropper points, multi-point checkered pistol grip with engraved skeleton grip cap with checkering, unusual engraved skeleton butt with outline of an apple in center and checkering, and multi-point checkered forend for each bbl. Accompanied with a plastic two-bbl luggage case. CONDITION: Extremely fine. All bbl sets retain 98-99% of their fine custom blue, receiver has nearly all of its custom case colors thinning slightly across bottom. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, minor hairline crack behind top tang, a few handling marks and retains most of its fine hand rubbed custom finish. Forends are sound with sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks, and retain nearly all of their hand rubbed custom finish. Mechanics are crisp with non-automatic safety. Bores are good with a couple of repaired dents on right bbl of 16 ga and a little frosting in the 20 ga and 28 ga sets.
