COMPOSITE SPRINGFIELD 1884 TRAPDOOR RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. SN 305774. Standard rifle with 32 1/2” bbl, 1873 dated breechblock, 1-pc stock with no visible cartouche. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains about 90% dull blue. Lockplate, hammer, and breechblock retains most of their blackish case hardening. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish. Bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-52289 JR107 (400-700)
