BLACK BASALT FIGURAL TEAPOT. Wonderful basalt teapot features spout in the shape of a lion’s head. One side has raised pattern with the bust of Wellington sited by an angel blowing a horn and another placing a wreath on the bust’s head. Reverse side is inscribed “INDIA, PORTUGAL & SPAIN VITTORIA 21ST JUNE 1813”. Shaped lid has floral knob. Applied teapot handle is in the shape of a serpent. SIZE: 7 3/4″ long. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-92829 (200-300)
