*TUSCANO ENGRAVED AND GOLD INLAID FLLI RIZZINI R 2 E BOXLOCK EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER GAME GUN WITH CASE. SN 1540. Cal. 20 Ga. 3″ Chambers. 26″ Chopper lump barrels with raised flat matted game rib are engraved “Puccinelli – Rizzini Made in Italy” on top of right bbl, and “Importer Jaqua’s Findlay Ohio” on left. Scroll backed, case hardened, Rizzini patent action has non-automatic safety (“S” engraved in gold) and single non-selective trigger. Action shows about 80% coverage of well cut scroll with rose bouquet highlights, with very pleasing inlaid gold band borders. Blued floorplate, trigger guard, and top lever continue this theme. There is also inlaid gold edging on trigger plate, housing gold-plated single trigger. Engraver’s name (A. Tuscano) is at left of trigger. Nicely marbled and lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over brown leather covered pad, and features drop points and 22 LPI borderless checkering. Matching semi-beavertail ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameter: left -.618, right -.617. Bore restrictions: left -.006, right -.002. Wall thickness: left -.042, right -.038. Tan leather case has stitched leather corners, and French fitted interior is lined with red velveteen, with black leather gold-embossed Puccinelli label. Case contains proof certificate, and letter from K. Eversull with trigger pull data. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all their original blue, slightly silvered at muzzles and edges of rib. There is some added solder on muzzles. Action retains nearly all of its original case hardening color, silvered slightly on fences and beads. Original lacquer has alligatored slightly on sides of action. Stocks retain nearly all of their original finish with a few minor marks from handling and use. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Trigger works. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny. Case is fine. Leather is somewhat scuffed especially on corners, and is lifted where labels might have been taped to lid. Interior cloth is good with some soiling from contact with gun. Top lining is detaching and needs attention, as does label (which is fine). 4-40652 MGM105 (8,000-12,000)
