SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1866 2ND ALLIN CONVERSION TRAPDOOR RIFLE. Cal. 50 CF. Standard rifle with 36 1/2” bbl, standard sights, and 1866 dated breechblock and 1865 lockplate. It has 3 bands with iron ramrod and 1-pc stock with oval “ESA” cartouche. CONDITION: Good. Metal retains a cleaned bright surface starting to patinate. Bbl has a series of nicks across the top. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish with usual handing and use marks. Strong bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-52285 JR111 (800-1,200)
