*VERY RARE SMITH & WESSON PRE-WAR K32 DA TARGET REVOLVER. Cal. 32 S&W Long. SN 682205. One of the most rare of all the Smith & Wesson target revolvers according to page 92 & 94, Smith & Wesson 1857-1945 Revised, by Neal & Jinks. Only 83 of these fine revolvers were made in the period 1936 – 1941. This revolver was next to the last one made and is listed by serial number on page 94. Our revolver has blue finish, with 6” bbl, 1/10” Partridge front sight with square notch adjustable rear sight, standard trigger & hammer, with diamond checkered silver medallion walnut grips. It is accompanied by its original maroon hinged lid box with pea-green end label that was originally for a 38 M&P revolver but the “38” was crossed out and overstamped “32”. It also has an overstamp “TARGET” on the end label and again by the pencil serial number on the bottom. Inside the box is an original metal cleaning rod and an Abercrombie & Fitch Co. work order card and an empty UMC green label ammunition box. Also accompanies is a Smith & Wesson factory letter identifying this revolver and indicating that it was shipped March 12, 1941 to Abercrombie & Fitch, New York City. Mr. Jinks states, “This is truly one of the rarest of the Smith & Wesson target revolvers”. Accompanied by a S & W letter identifying this revolver and indicating shipment on March 12, 1941 to Abercrombie & Fitch, New York City. Mr. Jinks states “This is truly one of the rarest of the Smith & Wesson target revolvers”. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Does not appear to have been fired. Retains virtually all its fine pre-war bright blue finish with a hint of muzzle edge wear and a very faint cylinder line. Grips are crisp & bright with no hand oil staining.
