*PAIR OF MUFFOLINI ENGRAVED FLLI RIZZINI R 2 BOXLOCK GAME GUNS WITH CASES. SN 2000/ 2001. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Nicely struck 28″ chopper lump barrels are engraved “ARMI Flli RIZZINI – MAGNO VT” on raised concave game ribs, with “1” or “2” engraved at breech ends. Bbl flats are stamped “FLLIRIZZINI”, have 1990 Italian nitro proofs and SNs engraved. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with choke and chamber information. Scroll backed, coin finished, Rizzini patent boxlock actions have non-automatic safeties (“S” engraved) and single non-selective triggers. Actions are engraved with exceedingly well cut and nicely shaded open flowing scrolled acanthus. “Flli RIZZINI” is on rectangular ribbon on left side of actions, with “MAGNO VT” on right. Engraving on fences and top levers is in somewhat higher relief and nos. “1” or “2” are in shaded relief on levers. This fine work was done by S. Muffolini whose signature is on right side of trigger plates. Matching small bow trigger guards have SNs in ribands on tangs. Broadly marbled, lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstocks measure 14-1/2″ over brown leather covered pads, and feature borderless checkering at 28 LPI. Matching semi-beavertail ejector forends have Anson releases, with “1” or “2” relief engraved on tips. Irons are stamped with SNs, and engraved “EJECTORE BREV. RIZZINI”. Gun no. “1”: Bore diameter: left -.729, right -.728. Bore restrictions: left -.006, right -.004. Wall thickness: left -.030, right -.030. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 11 oz, LOP 14-1/2″. Gun. no. “2”: Bore diameter: left -.728, right -.729. Bore restrictions: left -.011, right -.005. Wall thickness: left -.030, right -.029. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 10.6 oz, LOP 14-1/2″. Each gun comes in its own fine quality leather Nizzoli case with brown cloth interior, and with Nizzoli emblem inside on lid. One case contains a pair of Crane & Crane snap caps; both have round oil bottles. Proof certificate for gun no. 2000 is in one case. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all of their fine satin blue, slightly silvered on edges of ribs, with some minor small marks, mostly from contact with forends, and from assembly and dis-assembly. Actions retain virtually all of their coin finish, with no evident areas of darkening. Stocks retain virtually all of their oil finish, with a few minor marks from handling and use, mostly on gun no. “1”, which also shows some lifting of wood at bottom right side of action. Actions are tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Triggers work. Bores are excellent. Cases are excellent, with numerous minor marks and scuffs. Straps and handles are strong. Interior cloth is fine. Accessories are fine. Current MSR is approximately $50,000.00 per gun, without engraving. 4-40655, 40656 (30,000-40,000)
