FRENCH EMPIRE CARVED MAHOGANY WORKTABLE. Circa 1825. The rectangular top, now with leather cover, above the conforming figured mahogany frieze, fitted with compartmented long drawer, retaining original stamped brass lion’s-mask hardware, raised on a scrolling trestle base with volutes and leafy brackets. The legs joined by a baluster-turned stretcher, raised on scrolling feet. SIZE: 29″ h. x 29-1/2″ w. x 18″ d. CONDITION: Refinished and restored. 9-93125 (600-900)
