*IVO FABBRI BEST SIDELOCK EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER PIGEON GUN WITH EXTRA SET OF BARRELS AND CASE. SN E484. (1972) Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers with long forcing cones. 29″ Chopper lump barrels with raised flat matted ribs, have “1” and “2” inlaid in gold on rear portions of ribs. Bbls are engraved “Armi. Fabbri. Brescia” and “Made in Italy” on left bbl, and “- Bohler Super Blitz Steel -” on right. Bbl flats are stamped with Italian nitro proofs, SN, and “I. Fabbri”. Bbl set no. “1” has been ported, 11 ports on top of each bbl, and has had Briley chokes installed. Case hardened full sidelock action features non-selective safety (“Safe” in gold background), line engraved tumbler end cocking indicators, Webley and Scott style vented strikers, and non-selective single trigger. Action and lockplates have 70% coverage of well cut traditional bouquet and scroll. Engraver’s signature “Fiora” is in front of trigger guard bow. Trigger guard has SN inlaid in gold on tang. Flesh-toned, nicely veined, and somewhat figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/8″ over black “Decelerator” pad, and features very cleanly cut 32 LPI point pattern checkering with line border. Matching beavertail forend has Anson release, and gold pigeon inlaid in front of iron. BBL set no. “1”: Bore diameter: left -.727 with Briley chokes, right -.727 with Briley chokes. Wall thickness: left -.034, right -.032. Drop at heel: 1-7/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Weight: 7 lbs. 13 oz, LOP 14-3/8″. BBL set no. “2”: Bore diameter: left -.727, right -.728. Bore restrictions: left -.015, right -.027. Wall thickness: left -.033, right -.032. Weight: 7 lbs. 14 oz. Aluminum “Americase” has combination lock, is lined in dark green velvet, and contains 6 Briley chokes, and a wrench. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all of their lustrous blue. Action retains about 60% of its case hardening color, silvered on beads, and graying on fences and bottom. Left lockplate retains 90% color, and right approximately 70%, with evidence of cleaning toward front. Stocks retain virtually all of their rubbed oil finish with a few minor marks. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time, and trigger works. Bores are excellent. Case is excellent. Fabbri guns are considered to be perhaps the highest quality shotguns available today, and the company produces approximately 30 guns per year. 4-40228 MGM64 (37,500-47,500)
