*RARE SMITH & WESSON REGISTERED MAGNUM REVOLVER.

*RARE SMITH & WESSON REGISTERED MAGNUM REVOLVER. Cal. 357 Mag. SN 47260. Registered number 809. This very rare revolver has blue finish, with 8-3/4” bbl, Partridge front sight and square notch adjustable rear sight. It has patent marked trigger & standard hammer with serrated sides and checkered spur. It is fitted with diamond checkered silver medallion walnut grips. It is accompanied by an original blue 2-pc box with gold lettering and a picture of the revolver on the lid. It has red interior with instructions in English & Spanish inside the lid. It also is accompanied by an original Smith & Wesson grip adaptor, an extremely rare original Smith & Wesson aluminum handle screw driver, extended screw for when the grip adaptor is used and a replacement extra rear sight blade. Also accompanies is the original wire handle bristle brush, the original owner’s instruction pamphlet, a “burning powder” instruction pamphlet, and an original 1938 price list. Also accompanies is a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver with its accessories and indicating that it was shipped Feb 7, 1936 to Mounies Gun Co., 827 North Third St., Milwaukee, WI. It also indicates it was ordered by the County of Milwaukee Sheriff’s Dept. It further states that it was sighted at 25 yds. with magnum ammunition using a 6 o’clock hold. Mr. Jinks states that “it is extremely rare to find this model with all of the accessories still in the box”. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new. Has been fired but very, very little. Retains 98-99% strong bright original factory finish to both revolver and grips. It is all matching except the grips which are unnumbered. However, they appear original to this revolver. Grips are crisp and sharp with no hand oil staining. Mechanics are crisp and the bore is bright & shiny with a fine cylinder line. .
