*SUPERB FRANCOTTE GRADE 14 BOXLOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN. SN 84383. Cal. 20 Ga. 2-1/2″ Chambers. 26″ Dovetailed bbls with narrow matted concave game rib and crossbolt extension, are engraved “Von Lengerke & Detmold” and “U. S. Agents New – York” on tops. Bbl flats are stamped “Francotte Choke Bore” and with Belgian nitro proofs for 2-1/2″ chambers. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with choke information, and right bbl with SN. Case hardened boxlock action features Greener type crossbolt, dbl triggers and automatic safety (“S” inlaid in gold). Action is engraved with about 60% coverage of scroll. Fences have stylized acanthus. Either side of action is engraved “A. Francotte Maker & Patentee Liege Belgium”. Blued top lever and trigger guard have matching scroll, and SN is on tang of guard. Lightly streaked European walnut semi-pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over ribbed horn buttplate. Checkering is at 22 LPI with line border. Side panels have very fine checkering surrounded by geometrically designed border. Matching splinter forend has Anson release. Bore diameter: left -.626, right -.626. Bore restrictions: left -.012, right -.004. Wall thickness: left -.023, right -.029. Drop at heel: 3″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Weight: 5 lbs. 7 oz, LOP 14-1/4″. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain virtually all of a high quality re-black, engraving remains sharp. Action retains 70-80% orig case color, silvered on bottom. Top lever and guard retain most of their orig bright blue, slightly browned and silvered on edges. Stocks retain most of their orig oil finish, a bit dull. Checkering is very slightly worn.
