*FINE PARKER TROJAN GRADE SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 226610. Cal. 16 ga. 28″ Trojan Steel bbls with tapered, matted concave rib with sgl brass sighting bead, 2-1/2″ chambers, choked IMP-CYL / MOD with dbl triggers & extractors. Top rib of bbl is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. TROJAN STEEL”. The non-engraved receiver is marked “PARKER BROS” on each side. Mounted in straight grain walnut with checkered pistol grip & serrated hard rubber butt plate, diamond-checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.667, right -.667. Bore restrictions: left -.018, right -.008. Wall thickness: left -.026, right -.024. Drop at heel: 2-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-7/8″. Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz. LOP 14″. PROVENANCE: The David Herrmann Collection. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain most of a fine quality restored finish with some thinning areas from carrying & a couple areas of very light oxidation. Receiver has 10-15% orig case colors in protected areas and is mostly a silver mixed with brown patina. Trigger guard retains virtually all of restored blue finish. Stock is solid with a minor chip behind upper tang and a few minor nicks & scratches in a fine restored finish. Checkering has been repointed and is crisp & sharp. Forend is solid with similar restored finish & repointed checkering. Mechanics are crisp and bores are shiny with a couple of minor scattered pits & a minor repaired dent in left bbl. 4-35257 BDT12 (1,750-2,750)
