CARROLL SARGENT TYSON (American, 1877-1956) “RECLINING NUDE”. Pastel on paper shows a nude reclining woman . The backdrop is a multi-color curtain. Signed lower right “Carroll S. Tyson Jr. 1906″. Housed in a replacement gilt decorated frame with linen matte. The back retaining a number of original museum and gallery labels including Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania Museum of Art and Hirschl & Adler Galleries. Also a label dated December 5, 1933 indicating that this piece was loaned to the Art Club of Philadelphia for the walls on the Tap Room by the artist. Also appears in Hirschl & Adler’s 1974 retrospective catalog. SIZE: 18″ x 24-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-99272 (4,000-5,000)
