ALEXANDER MCINNES (British, 19th Century) “BRAN, GRUICKRACH & OSCAR”. Oil on canvas scene shows three Irish Wolfhounds against a hillside landscape. The foreground shows a jacket in red and green plaid, a hat and flask. Signed lower left. Housed in a fine modern gesso decorated gilt frame with linen liner. Gallery label on reverse “Exclusively Dogs” of Scottsdale, Arizona. Work is dated “1849”. At that time he worked in London and exhibited in a number of places. SIZE: 17-1/2″ x 22″. CONDITION: Craquelure, some inpainting and masking varnish. 9-28866 (800-1200)
