DISC PLAYING READ ORGAN WITH BELLOWS AND TWO DANCERS. Earlier 20th century, this musical device works on a hand crank similar to a hurdy gurdy. A fanciful black ebonized cabinet in the shape of an “L” with the lower section featuring two Bavarian dancers (replaced) with mirrored backgrounds. When the box is cranked, the music plays and the dancers twirl about. The disc is on the rear of the machine and can easily be interchanged with one of the other 15 discs that accompany this lot. Some of the discs are marked “Amorette”. SIZE: 10-1/2″ d x 12-1/2″ w x 12″ t. Discs are 8-3/4″ dia. CONDITION: Overall very good original condition. Plays well. There is a slight tear to fabric in front. Dancers currently not twirling, most likely in need of minor adjustment. 1-11331 (500-700)
