*DESIRABLE PARKER GHE GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 217876. Cal 20 ga. 30″ Parker Special Steel bbls, tapered matted concave rib with single silver sighting bead, 2-3/4″ chambers, FULL / FULL choke, ejectors & double triggers. Top rib is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKER.MERIDAN.CT.U.S.A. PARKER SPEC.STEEL”. Standard G grade receiver with minimal scroll borders and scroll around an oval with “PARKER BROS.” and 2 flying ducks on left side, & two pheasants, one in flight on right & a circle surrounded by minimal scroll and two pheasants on trigger plate. Mounted with semi-fancy straight grain walnut, with checkered straight grip and Parker dog head hard rubber buttplate, gold initial shield, checkered splinter forend with steel tip insert. The “Parker Gun Identification Serialization” book identifies this gun as a P2 ejectors straight grip, 20 ga. with 30″ bbls. This is an “O” frame gun. Bore diameter: left -.618, right -.616. Bore restrictions: left -.021, right -.020. Wall thickness: left -.027, right -.032. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 6 oz. LOP 13-1/2″. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain 85-90% orig blue with some scuffing and wear at muzzles, some thinning in forend area and a few minor nicks & scraps. Receiver has traces of orig case color with evidence of a fine light cleaning years ago with a blend of gray & light brown patina. Stock is solid with fine re-pointed checkering, a few minor handling marks & a fine hand rubbed restored finish.
