*PARKER BROS. CHE GRADE PIGEON GUN. SN 149095. Ca. 12 ga. 32″ Acme steel bbls, tapered matted concave rib with single silver sighting bead. 2-3/4″ chambers, FULL / FULL choke, double triggers and ejectors. Top rib of bbl marked “PARKER BROTHERS.MAKERS.MERIDAN.CONN.ACME STEEL”. The C grade receiver is engraved with floral scroll and ribbon engraved “PARKER BROS.” surrounding an oval with pointing pointer on left side and retriever on right side and 5 ducks in flight on trigger plate. This Pigeon gun was made without a safety. Mounted with dark fiddle back walnut, side panels with dropper point, checkered straight grip, and silver style red recoil pad. Gold initial shield, checkered splinter forend with steel tip insert. This gun serial number appears in the “Parker Gun Identification Serialization” book, as a 12 ga. grade A4 with straight grip, ejectors, and 32″ bbl. Bbl lug marking identify as a No. 2 size frame. Bore diameter: left -.732, right -.732. Bore restrictions: left -.038, right -.037. Wall thickness: left -.031, right -.029. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7 lbs. 15 oz. LOP 14-1/8″. Good triggers, strong ejectors & shiny bores. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain 70-75% orig blue, with thinning in forearm area, some muzzle wear, some wear at chambers, and minor nicks & scraps. Frame has 20-25% orig case colors, strong and protected areas, with balance a blend of silver and brown patina. Trigger guard has traces or orig blue on bow, with long tang worn to a silver brown patina. Stock is solid, with a minor hairline crack behind top tang, moderately worn checkering, minor nicks, dings & handling marks and has a fine hand worn patina finish. Silvers pad is a modern replacement. Forend is sound with moderately worn checkering, silver patina metal parts, and hand worn patina finish & minor evidence of an old added coat of finish. 4-35775 BDT156 (7,000-10,000)
