WINCHESTER ADVERTISING PRINT BY H.R. POORE. Famous 1925 print commissioned by Winchester of four large hounds, purportedly bear dogs owned by members of the Winchester family. Heavy paper poster has faux wood integral frame marked “Winchester” at the top and “Rifles, shotguns and ammunition for sale here” at bottom with images of shotgun shells and Winchester logos around perimeter. It has artist’s signature & “Philadelphia” in lower left corner. This recent attic find comes with its original mailing tube with Winchester label where it has been for many years, which would explain the outstanding color. SIZE: 41-3/4″ w x 32-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Print has some small roll creases, minor edge tears and larger tear on left side, a couple vertical scratches to left side and moderate fly specking. Colors are bright & strong. 1-9436 (2,000-3,000)
