*RARE AND UNUSUAL PARKER DHE-GRADE S/S SHOTGUN. SN 164541. Cal. 12 ga. 34″ bbls w/tapered matted concave rib, single brass sighting bead, 3″ chambers w/Briley screw in chokes, Miller single trigger and ejectors. Top rib of bbl is marked, “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDAN, CONN. TITANIC STEEL”. The #3 frame is unusually engr for a D-grade being flowers and foliate arabesque scroll w/a ribbon engr “PARKER BROS” on each side. Mounted w/nicely figured streaky walnut, dropper points, checkered straight grip, initial oval, checkered skeleton butt, checkered splinter forend w/engr metal tip, engr release lever and engr forend metal. The Parker Gun Identification and Serialization book identifies gun as “12 ga., 34″, T-13 grade w/ejectors and straight grip”. Bore diameter: left .737, right .734. Bore restrictions: left SC, right SC. Wall thickness: left .049, right .044. Drop at heel: 2-3/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 10 lbs. 8 oz. LOP 14-3/4″. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain 90-95% orig blue w/thinning at muzzle and chamber area, rub mark from forend and some minor nicks and scratches. Receiver has 30-35% fading orig case colors, brighter in protected areas, blending w/a gray patina. Trigger guard has turned to a gray patina. Stock is sound w/good checkering, some handling marks, nicks, dings and minor scratches and retains orig finish, blended w/hand-worn patina. Skeleton butt has turned a gray patina w/good checkering. Forend is sound w/good checkering, minor nicks and dings and a hand-worn patina mixed w/orig finish. Mechanics are crisp w/non-automatic safety, strong ejectors and shiny bores.
