FIVE EARLY PRE-REVOLUTIONARY RUSSIAN LACQUER BOXES. Lot consists of five pre-revolutionary Russian lacquer boxes including a larger round box with winter scene of three horses pulling a troika, a smaller round box is decorated with a portrait of a gentleman wearing a fur hat, a larger rectangular box is decorated with a large building while a smaller rectangular box is decorated with a dancing woman and the smallest box is decorated with a man and a woman sitting on a bench. Two of the boxes are marked on the interior with maker’s marks. SIZE: Ranges from 3-3/8″ l to 5-3/4″ l. CONDITION: Dancing woman box has loose wooden hinge and some minor wear to edges, otherwise very good. 5-65221 (800-1,200)
