*PARKER BROS. CHE GRADE SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 115725. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ Titanic Steel bbls with tapered, matted, concave rib with dual ivory sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chambers, FULL / FULL chokes, dbl triggers & ejectors. Top rib of bbl marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CONN. TITANIC STEEL.”. C grade receiver has tight foliate arabesque scroll with “PARKER BROS.” surrounding an oval with pointer on left side & setter on right. Vignette on floor plate is a setter and a pheasant in flight. Balance of engraving is fine foliate arabesque scroll. This receiver was made without a safety. Mounted in “streaky” piece of walnut with fiddle back, checkered side panels with dropper point, checkered straight grip & skeleton butt plate with checkered center. Checkered splinter forend with metal tip insert. Bore diameter: left -.731, right -.730. Bore restrictions: left -.035, right -.035. Wall thickness: left -.028, right -.020. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz. LOP 14″. Parker Identification and Serialization Book identifies this gun as grade T-14, 12 ga. with 30″ bbls, ejectors & straight grip. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain 85-90% orig blue with wear adjacent to front of forend, a couple of minor cleaned spots & the usual nicks & scratches. Receiver has 60-70% orig case colors, worn to silver gray patina across bottom & sharp edges. Trigger guard has nearly all of a fine restored finish. Stock is sound, with a minor sliver out on right side of top tang. There are only a few light handling marks in this fine hand-rubbed restored finish. Skeleton butt plate has most of its fine restored finish. Forend is solid with only a few minor nicks & dings in its fine restored finish. Gun is tight with lever just left of center, strong ejectors & shiny bores. 4-36199 BDT33 (6,000-9,000)
