JAPANESE KYU-GUNTO ARMY OFFICERS SWORD. 25 ¾” shinogi zukuri blade. Nakago is ubu except for the three mekugi ana (holes). SIZE: 38 ½” long overall. MOUNTS: Kyu-gunto, Russo-Japanese war era and complete. CONDITION: Blade is clean with a few small rust specks but the hamon is barely visible in some areas due to being covered in dried oil. Nakago appears to be artificially rusted. Nickel-plated scabbard with minor wear to its finish. Hilt is complete but tarnished. No tassel. 4-54992-22 GA38 (400-600)
