THREE PIECE SIGNED HERTER BROTHERS BEDROOM SET. Set consists of: Mirrored two over two drawer chest, bed and nightstand. Chest having a molded top with two over four drawers fitted with brass handles. Top two drawers having a brass beaded inner edged panel. Chest supported by four Marlboro type feet. Rectangular mirror has similar decoration with long tapered line incised side columns. There is a repair label on the back of the mirror which indicates that the old mirror plate was removed and the name of the maker Mr. Durrand and the date May 29, 1884 was on the plate. Square nightstand with molded edge top has four tapered legs and a frieze with panels. Bed having a three vertical panel headboard with side tapered columns having inscribed line decoration. Foot board with molded top and mid molding resting on tapered square feet with casters. Original side rails and wood platform base which is impress branded “Herter Bros”. Set in birdseye maple and maple with light finish. SIZE: Chest is 77” h x 41” w x 22” d. Nightstand is 26-1/2” h x 15” sq. Bed is 52” h x 48” w x 76” l. CONDITION: One side column of the bed is glued at base, otherwise very good. 9-29155 (2,500-4,000)
