PRE-REVOLUTIONARY RUSSIAN SILVER & NIELLO BOX. Oval Russian silver box is decorated with niello enamel, buildings surrounding a square with a geometric pattern framing the piece. Bottom of the box has a niello decoration in a checkerboard pattern. Box is marked on the interior “B.C. 1872 84″ with a hallmark of St. George slaying the dragon. SIZE: 4″ l x 2”. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with a few very minor dings to the silver. 5-65218 (200-400)
