*L.C. SMITH FULTON DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 24857. Boxlock L.C. Smith made for the economy minded hunter who wanted a quality shotgun. It has 28” steel bbls choked FULL/MOD with flat, matted, tapered rib, sgl bead, rib extension with extractor and dbl triggers. Mounted with nicely figured, checkered, straight grain, American walnut with splinter forearm & Prince of Wales semi-pistol grip stock, 14-1/8” over a dog’s head buttplate. Receiver has etched sides in light diamond patterns. Bore diameter: left – .728, right – .728. Bore restrictions: left – .024, right – .021. Wall thickness: left – .029, right – .029. Drop at heel: 2-3/4”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Weight: 7 lbs. 5.12 oz.. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 93-95% strong orig blue with a cleaned spot of rust on rib and thinning on both sides over chambers. Receiver retains virtually all of its brilliant, orig case colors, slightly faded on bottom front and triggerguard retains most of its orig blue with a few speckles of rust on tang. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches & retains virtually all of its orig varnish with some fine crazing on buttstock. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. 4-30192 JR168 (750-1,250)
