*RESTORED PARKER BHE GRADE TWO BARREL SET. SN 207716. Cal. 12 ga. 28″ and 30″ bbls with tapered matted concave ribs, and single brass sighting bead. Top of ribs are marked “Parker Bros. Makers.Meridan, Ct. U.S.A. Acme Steel”. 2-5/8″ chambers with both bbls choked IMP-MOD/IMP-MOD. Ejectors and Parker single trigger on a rare 1-1/2″ frame. B-grade receiver is engraved with foliate arabesque scroll with two pointers on left side, two setters on right, and two ducks in flight across triggerplate. Mounted with highly figured walnut with checkered side panels, fleur de lis dropper points, multi-point checkered pistol grip, hard rubber grip cap with gold initial oval, and engraved skeleton buttplate with checkering. Each bbl has fully checkered splinter forend with engraved metal tip insert, engraved release level, and engraved forend iron. Bbl lugs are stamped “1” and “2” and inside iron of second set is also stamped “2”. 28″ bbl – Bore diameter: left – .730, right – .730. Bore restrictions: left – .035, right – .032. Wall thickness: left – .033, right – .030. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 7 lbs. 1 oz. LOP 13-3/4″. 30″ bbl – Bore diameter: left – .730, right – .729. Bore restrictions: left – .035, right – .033. Wall thickness: left – .031, right – .031. Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz. Housed in a leather luggage case with maker’s label. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine as restored. Bbls retain virtually all of their factory quality restored rust blue finish. Receiver retains virtually all of its factory quality restored case colors and fine sharp engraving. Stock is sound with a few minor handling marks and retains virtually all of its fine hand rubbed oil finish. Initial oval in gripcap is engraved “WWG”. Forends are sound with sharp checkering and retain virtually all of their fine hand rubbed oil finish. This fine work was carried out by Turnbull Restorations. Mechanics are crisp with automatic safety, strong ejectors, and shiny bores in both sets of bbls. Case is in excellent shape with just a few minor scuff marks. 4-37247 BDT256 (12,500-17,500)
