LOUIS HENRY CHARLES MOELLER (AMERICAN, 1855 – 1930) CONSIDERING THE ELDER’S ADVICE. Outstanding oil on canvas men’s club scene shows an older man in red jacket and cane giving advice to two attention younger men, one holding clay pipe with green jacket. A very fancy detailed interior scene with candelabra, woman bronze, French screen and Chippendale chair. Signed lower right. Housed in a fine gilt and gesso-decorated replacement frame from the “GUIDO FRAME STUDIO, BOSTON”. SIZE: 18″ x 24″. CONDITION: Relined on new stretcher with a portion of the old stretcher attached to reverse. Very good. Restored with inpainting 9-99205 (9,000-12,000)
