CIVIL WAR TINTYPE & CARTE DE VISITE OF UNION OFFICER. Tintype depicts full length, standing view of Civil War officer with drawn saber. Accompanying this lot is a Carte de Visite believed to be the same officer (at a different point and time). It is possible that the officer is Captain Isaac P. Fall. This was found in an attic in Berwick, ME from a family who had descended from David H. Bracket who enlisted in Company B Maine 27th Infantry in 1862 as a Private. His captain at the time was Isaac P. Fall and it is likely that this is whom the image represents. The Carte de Visite is marked on the back “C. S. Sanderson Photographist Wendells New Block Central St. Dover, NH”. SIZE: Tintype is approx. 4-1/8″ tall x 3-1/8″ wide. Carte de Visite is 4-1/8″ tall x 2-1/2″ wide. CONDITION: Tintype and Carte de Visite with some surface soil, but generally in good condition. 4-53628 (500-800)
