*FINE ITHACA GRADE 5E SGL BBL TRAP GUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 405081. Beautiful trap gun with 32″ vent rib bbl, Ithaca Raybar front bead & ivory center bead. It has ejectors. Receiver is beautifully engraved with a large vignette of a standing gold pheasant on left side, a standing gold woodcock on right side & a spread winged American eagle on bottom, all surrounded by foliate & floral patterns with stippled background having about 85% coverage. Engraving is signed on left side “McGRAW”. Mounted with very highly figured flame grain American walnut with tapered checkered beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with shield checkered side panels & fleur-de-lis carved & checkered wrist, 14-1/2″ over an Ithaca red waffle pad. Stock has a blank gold initial plate on bottom. Drop at the heel: 1-7/8″, drop at the comb: 1-7/16″. Bore restriction: .033. Bore diameter: .688. Wall thickness: .051. Weight: 8 lbs. 10.56 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Has been used but very little. Bbl retains about 99% strong bright orig blue. Receiver retains virtually all of its orig case colors, strong & bright overall but slightly faded on bottom. Wood is sound with a minor nick or two & small grain checks in butt and overall retains virtually all of its bright orig factory varnish.
