*WINCHESTER 52 B SPORTER. SN 84648B. Cal 22,long rifle, 24″ bbl, integral stippled front ramp with gold bead sight, no provision for rear sight. Left side of bbl marked “WINCHESTER/TRADEMARK/MADE IN U.S.A.-MODEL 52-22 L.RIFLE/WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. Usual 52 receiver with “WINCHESTER/TRADEMARK” marked on forward right side. Left side is equipped with proper Lyman “48 WJS” peep sight. Mounted in straight grain walnut, with 90 degree ebony forend tip, inlet sling swivel bases with swivels, checkered panels on either side of forend and 3 checkered diamonds on bottom, checkered pistol grip with Winchester hard rubber buttcap, straight comb, checkered steel buttplate, left side cheek piece, 1-pc steel trigger guard marked “SPORTING”, one “WINCHESTER” marked five-shot magazine. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl, receiver and trigger guard floorplate retain 97-98% orig blue with some minor sharp edgewear and some usual light nicks & dings. Bolt handle retains most of its blue with a small worn spot to silver. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, a few typical light handling marks and retains most of its orig finish.
