*28 GA. ARRIETA “RENAISSANCE” SIDE LOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN. SN 57-03-172-01. Cal. 28ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Single trigger. Self opener. 27″ Chopper lump bbls are engraved “New England Arms, Co.” on the right, and “Kittery Point – Maine – U. S. A. – Made in Spain” on the left. Relief engraving on breech end of narrow concave game rib. Bbl flats have Spanish proofs, 2-3/4″ chambers at 1370 BAR. Holland style spring assisted opening yoke is present. Coin finished action has dual under lugs, bushed strikers, and side clips. Water table is stamped w/ SN, gauge and chamber length, and Arrieta makers mark. Action is heavily embellished w/ very nicely executed shaded open acanthus scroll surrounding a ruffed grouse on left lock plate, flushing pheasant on right, and woodcock in flight on bottom by the Italian master “DASSA”. Single beaded trigger guard is engraved in same style. Tumbler ends have gold band cocking indicators. “S” is inlaid in gold in front of safety button. Nicely figured and streaked Turkish walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/4″ over checkered wood butt, w/ 26 LPI checkering w/ mullered borders, and drop points. Semi Beavertail forend has Anson release, wood, engraving, and checkering to match buttstock. Bore diameter: left -.558, right -.558. Bore restrictions: left -.010, right -.005. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs 1oz. CONDITION: As new, but w/ very slight handling marks. Ejectors are in time. Trigger works well. 4-35801 MGM99 (10,000-13,000)
