5¢ PACE’S RACES HORSE RACE GAMBLING MACHINE. A most unique and interesting payout horse race gambling machine from the 1930s with an art deco style cabinet. The player or multiple players could place a bet on up to seven different horses. Upon depositing their nickel or nickels one would pull the lever and through a series of bellows and pneumatics the horses would advance towards the finish line while the odds wheel spun around to its next payout setting. A visually attractive mechanical device and complicated as well, this machine has had an excellent restoration to the exterior cabinet and the mechanics are in working order.
